Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is going to conduct Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) on 05, 06, 12, 13 February 2022 at various examination centres all over India. The test is conducted for admission to Master degree courses in IITs. Also many PSUs consider GATE as eligibility for their jobs. It is the main test for engineering graduates i.e. B.E. B.Tech. Those candidates who appear for this test, if they qualify, can apply for many PSUs who consider it as eligibility. The admit card of GATE 2022 is available from 15 January 2022. It will be held in two sessions i.e. morning (09:00 am to 12:00 pm) and Evening (03:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Those candidates who want to qualify the test, must have to clear the cut off marks. Any candidate possessing the qualifying marks will become eligible for admission in IITs as well as for jobs in companies (who consider GATE as eligibility).

Aspirants have to bring GATE admit card 2022 along with one original photo id proof at the venue of examination. Email as well as sms will also be sent to aspirants.
GATE 2022 examination for the papers AE, AG, AR, BT, CE, CH, CS,CY, EC,EE,EY, GG, IN,MA, ME,MN, MT, PH, PI, TF, XE and XL will be conducted online i.e. candidates have to mark their answers in the online test. Also some numerical ability questions will be asked whose answer is to be typed. There will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks are in General Aptitude (GA) and rest are from respective branch.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. The operations in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal Office at the IITs or IISc. The Organizing Institute (OI) is responsible for the end-to-end process and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. The Organizing Institute for GATE 2022 is Indian Institute of Science. Examinations for all the 23 papers will be conducted by an Online Computer
Based Test (CBT). The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keypad. Rest of the questions shall be of MCQ type.
Candidates, who have appeared in the final semester/year exam, but with a backlog (arrears/failed subjects) in any of the papers in their qualifying degree should
upload a copy of any one of the mark sheets of the final year,
OR
obtain a declaration from their Principal along with the signature and seal beforehand and upload the same during the online submission of the application form.
In all the papers, there will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GA).
In the papers bearing the codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, the Engineering Mathematics will carry around 15% of the total marks, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 70% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.
In the papers bearing the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 85% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.

Then they need to enter their enrollment id / email and password provided at the time of registration in the field provided. Candidates need to download it and take a printout of it.
