Haryana Staff Selection Commission had advertised for a total of 13536 Posts of Group D through Advt no. 01/2023. Earlier HSSC advertised for 18218 posts of Group D in Advt 04/2018 and completed the recruitment.
These group d posts are of Peon, Helper, Beldar, Dhobi, Cook etc. posts. Selection for these Group D posts in Haryana is to be done through written exam (90 marks) and socio-economic criteria and experience (10 marks).

A newly appointed Group D Candidates will be placed in DL level with Pay scale of 16900-53500 with applicable special pay.
What does 16900-53500 means: The salary starts at 16900 basic pay. Over the years, increment are done to the post time to time till it reaches 53500 near retirement of the candidate.
HSSC Group D Pay Scale: 16900-53500 + applicable Spl. pay
The approx. starting salary will be as follows.
Total Salary (Starting): Rs. 29000-31000 per month.
Deductions: Around 2700
Monthly Net in Hand Salary 2024 (starting): Rs. 26300-28300.
Along with basic pay, new appointed candidates are given various allowances i.e. Dearness Allowances (DA), House Rant Allowance, Special Allowance, Travel Allowance etc. These allowances will be added to calculate total salary.

Current Allowance rates:
- DA: 50% of basic pay
- HRA: 16% for Class Y city (minimum 3600) and 8% (min. 1800) for class Z employee (on basic pay)
- Washing Allowance: Rs. 440 per month
- Medical Allowances: Rs. 1000 per month
- Conveyance Allowances / Cycle Allowance: Rs. 200 per month
Group D Employee in Police Department is given Rs. 1100 per month Ration Allowance (not included in salary given below).
