Maharashtra Post Syllabus 2021 Exam Pattern for Postman MTS

Maharashtra Postal Circle conducts written examination for Postman, Mail Guard and Multitasking Staff (MTS). The circle will held written examination and select the candidates as per their performance. Those candidates who are going to appear for this exam should know what topics to prepare in order to qualify the examination.

There will be three papers for selection. Paper 1 will be online Computer based test. Paper 2 will be local language test. Paper 3 will be data entry skill test. 

Paper 1 is divided in three parts i.e. A, B, C.

Important points:
(i) The questions on General Knowledge and mathematics will also be available in Regional Languages.
(ii) The time allowed for answering 100 questions will be 90 minutes.

Syllabus of Paper 1 for Postman Mail Guard and MTS:

A - General Awareness / Knowledge - This section will have 30 questions of 1 mark each. The examiner may set 4 to 8 questions from each topic given below.
Topics: Geography of India, Civics, General Knowledge, Ethics and Moral Study, Indian Culture and Freedom Struggle.

B - Basic Arithmatic - This section will have 40 questions of 1 mark each. The examiner may set 4 to 8 questions from each topic given below.
Topics: BODMAS, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Unitary Method.

C - Reasoning and Analytical Ability - Verbal and Non-verbal types
This section will have 30 questions of 1 mark each. 
Topics: Non Verbal, Pictorial Reasoning and Analytical ability testing is preferred as question paper has to be bilingual.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:-
Paper 1: 33% for SC/ST/PWD, 37% for OBC/EWS, 40% for UR.
Paper 2: same as above.
Paper 3: 65% for SC/ST/PWD, 70% for OBC/EWS, 75% for UR.
