SSC will conduct open competitive examination for recruitment to Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2025 in January-February, 2025. Online form can be submitted from 05 September to 14 October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024-25

Age limit

Candidates age should be in between 18-23 years as on 01 January 2025 (born earlier than 02-01-2002 and later than 01-01-2007)

Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per rules (3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, More details in notification).

Educational Qualifications

Candidate should be matric / 10th class pass from a recognized board/university as on 01 January 2025.
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.

Physical Standards

For the post of Constable:
a) Height:
For Males except ST category: 170 cms

For Females: 157 cms
b) Chest:
For males only – Unexpanded: 80 cms.
– Expanded: Min expansion 5 cms.

Running: Male: 5 km in 24 minutes

Female: 1.6 kms in 8.5 minutes

Selection Process

The recruitment process of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024-25 will consist of Written exam (CBT), PE&MT, Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination.

Pay Scale

Those who got appointed will be given salary as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100).

Application fee

General/ OBC / EWS category Male candidates have to pay Rs. 100/-. Candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or online payment through SBI Challan/Net Banking/Credit and Debit cards. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation need not pay any fee.

How to fill SSC GD Constable Online form 2024-25

Online submission of application form can be made on website ssc.nic.in up to 14 October 2024 (11:00 pm) through new SSC website ssc.gov.in. Eligible candidates should do One time Registration (OTR) at this website as earlier registration at ssc.nic.in will not be functional for this new website. Then fill their correct personal details, upload photograph and signature and make payment of fee. Registration number and password will be generated by the website after successful submission of form.

Such candidates should retain the registration no. assigned to them online for correspondence with the commission. They are not required to submit print outs of their application to the commission.

Important Points:

The recruitment will comprise of Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination and Medical Examination.
If a candidate submits Multiple applications and multiple appearance in examination, then he/she will be barred from exam and candidature will be cancelled.
